Nederlander Theatre
Established in 1926, this theatre has been a cornerstone of Chicago culture for almost 100 years. Although its original name changed—Oriental Theatre—the rest of it has remained relatively the same. It still has its unique Moorish design and ornate architecture
This summer, the Nederlander Theatre is showing SIX, a Broadway production about the six wives of Henry VIII. It’s a musical extravaganza that you won’t want to miss.
Location
Located in the bustling Loop neighborhood of downtown Chicago, Nederlander Theatre is almost always busy. It’s close to other fun attractions, like the Chicago Theatre and the Chicago Cultural Center. A lot of eateries also surround the Nederlander Theatre, which is perfect if you’re looking for a bite to eat before the show.
Other popular spots it is close to are Millennium Park, Block 37, and the Riverwalk.
Nederlander Theatre Parking
Whether you’re a tourist or a local, parking in downtown Chicago can pose challenges and take up a lot of time—especially because street parking is rare and if quickly taken. If you’re going to the Nederlander Theatre and are searching for a spot to park, you can park at the Wabash-Randolph parking garage located at 20 East Randolph Street.
This parking garage is just a two-minute walk to the theatre and is within walking distance to other attractions like the infamous Chicago Bean in Millenium Park.
